We might need a bigger logo soon 😉 We are once again extremely proud and happy to be awarded the Let Toys Be Toys Toymark Award. Making toys accessible to all and promoting balanced, creative learning opportunities has always been very important to us. For those who don’t know, Angela was part of the shop that was awarded the very first Toymark Award and it was always integral to our plans when setting up RAAR Emporium. ‘Let Toys Be Toys’ is run by amazing volunteers who have helped to make big changes over the years in the display and marketing of toys. The campaign helps to stop children being restricted in what they can do and the adults that they can grow into. It has been great seeing change happening over the years, encouraging children to learn new skills and losing the old outdated stereotypes.
You can find out more about the great work they do on their website – http://lettoysbetoys.org.uk/ – and keep up to date with their social media. They offer help for retailers and resources for schools to help them challenge stereotypes and encourage all children to treat everyone equally.
