Tehidy Woods

A beautiful woodland and nature reserve not far from Gwithian or Cambourne. The woods are wrapped around the old manor house in the middle which was the Bassets family home for many years. those who are familiar with Poldark might recognize Francis Basset and the estate name. The estate has a lot of important history and stories but we will save those for another day. There are two main…

Any year it is worth making the most of the sunny Winter days as the Cornish landscape is stunning year round and normally isn't as crowded as during the Summer months. They often venture outside and like enjoying the sunshine and views around St. Ives.

The sub-tropical gardens are beautiful and often full of colour and maintained well by volunteers and the Council. With fish ponds and plenty to look at we always try to at least walk through them when we visit Penzance. On this day we used Morrab…

Stormy Kynance Cove

An amazing National Trust cared for area. A car park is nearby (National Trust prices) or it is along the South West Coast Path. This was our first visit there (yep there are actually a lot of beaches we still haven’t been to yet). As normal for our first visit somewhere new the tide was on its way in and there was a slight storm in the air. As…

Lots of people only think of Cornwall when the sun is shining and you can lounge around on the beach but there is so much more to Cornwall. When it’s a bit stormy there is a sense of power and awesomeness everywhere and as long as you are prepared it is just as great as when the sun shines. Year round there are incredible places to visit and seeing…

The team there have done an amazing job renovating the building and now have a proper home to make their chocolates…
